This Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sapan Desai has been mentioned by a media organization: Melissa Davey, Stephanie Kirchgaessner (2020-06-10). "Surgisphere: mass audit of papers linked to firm behind hydroxychloroquine Lancet study scandal". The Guardian. Retrieved 2020-06-10. In 2010 the online encyclopedia Wikipedia flagged his page for deletion after editors raised queries about his accomplishments. "If half of the claims in this article are true, this is indeed an exceptional young man," one website editor wrote of Desai, who at the time was 31. "However, exceptional does not necessarily equal notable. Most claims are unsourced or sourced to the subject's own websites. Many claims are over the top."

How is there no direct mention of the Surgisphere scandal, where Surgisphere and Desai after thorough international investigation have been credibly accused of manipulating or rather completely fabricating covid-19 patient data that was used in publications?

The wording in this article makes it seem like he was barely connected and was just one co-author agreeing to withdraw a paper.
