Dainose?

Is Dainose the name for this Pokemon? Echoing the sound 07:02, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds too much like "Die"; they'll probably change it. DanPMK 05:12, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone notice how it kind of resembles a stereotypical Jewish man? Zod 10:56, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

someone might add that "dai" means big in japanese? dainozu=big nose—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.21.92.103 (talk) 00:27, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted vandalism.[1]M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 03:41, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, when I first heard the name "Dainose", the "Dai" part somehow got me thinking about the word "dial". As in a sun dial. As in "Maybe Dainose could be used a sun dial.--67.87.66.127 01:52, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stalin?

Anyone see the resemblance? They both have mustaches, but that's doesn't seem like much... One could say Hitler if we were going by people with mustaches... -_-

Ah, it was removed. So I guess if no one has any objections...?

Nospillet

Just so you all know now, the name for this Pokémon. Just thought you'd all like to know, to clear up any confusion. The Pokémon Company 15:40, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Really then. Can you give me a reliable source? Because I won't accept this based on your screen name.—ウルタプ 13:41, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your concern that I am just some loser trying to edit Pokémon names. But, in what physical way can I prove that I am not? The Pokémon Company 15:39, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We really don’t care whether you are “just some loser” or not. What we care about is only using information that is true. Therefore, when you add information to the article, you must verify it by citing a reliable source. In other words, you can’t just put new info and say it’s true, you have to prove it’s true by telling readers where it has been reported( and it has to be a reliable news source or an official information channel, NOT just a fan site). If you really are the Pokémon Company, you can easily prove both your identity and the name by putting out a press release announcing the name Nospillet, or adding Nospillet to the D/P section of your Pokemon.com website. --WikidSmaht (talk) 20:35, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And, for example, when the person first put in the word "Electivire". I take it you questioned that person? The Pokémon Company 15:53, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We certainly did. If you look at the histories (1, 2) and talk page of Elekible/Electivire, you will see that even after a certain fansite announced the name, we did not allow it to be used until it appeared in photos of Jakks Pacific Pokémon merchandise taken at Toy Fair 2007. --WikidSmaht (talk) 20:35, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
wow so its name is nospillet nintendo really should think of better names >_< but i suppose it will do anyway how do u edit the title name from dainose to nospillet cos it says dainose but it should be nospillet LuGiADude 16:07, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Google search for "Nospillet" brings up 3 hits. Not one of them relating to Pokémon.—M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 21:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe nintendo decided to relese it here first i dunno maybe serebii.net may updat it soon.LuGiADude 13:15, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It'll never show up here first, and we don't trust Serebii as a reliable source.—ウルタプ 13:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
well then maybee nintendo will release a press announcement oh well we'll see if "The pokemon company" is right soon enoughLuGiADude 16:30, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sign your posts. And can you guys mind telling where you're getting "Nospillet" from? Please. >>—ウルタプ 14:50, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we will see. Until then, stop putting it in articles, that goes for all your various sockpuppets too. --WikidSmaht (talk) 14:56, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
sockpuppets? r u trying to say im the pokemon company or something lol LuGiADude 16:29, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Give the man(/woman?) a cookie. --WikidSmaht (talk) 04:47, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We've gone through this crap with Buizel, Chatot, Mantyke, and Electivire. Bring up a reliable source (NOT Serebii or Psypokes). -Jeske (v^_^v) 18:01, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Um, that is not really relevant. NO site has announced it yet. This guy(/girl?) just made it up. --WikidSmaht (talk) 04:47, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously, Nospillet isn't this dude's name. That doesn't sound good, so good call by Nintendo. --Ksy92003 00:29, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probopass

Isn't it called Probopass? Nintendo announced it >_>LuGiADude 13:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where did Nintendo announce it? Last I heard, someone else leaked it to the major fansites. Until you provide a reliable source, Lu, you can't add the name to the article as fact. -Jeske (v^_^v) 13:24, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't add it! I just said cos i saw it on Serebii, but I suppose thats not entirely accurate. I will ALWAYS believe in Nospillet LOL LuGiADude 12:31, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE: Apparently, so. Probopass is revealed: http://www.nintendo.com/ Fatpeople12345 12:35, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Um, where exactly? Just so you know, it's not our responsibility to search around a site for you. Give us a direct url or something.—ウルタプ 13:09, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Download the english rom from copyright violating content removed by Loveはドコ? 18:52, 21 April 2007 (UTC). Then play it. Ta-da! Probopass. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.201.74.207 (talk) 18:49, 21 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Polarisation

I've heard a rumor that Probopass can change the polarisation of its main nose and mini-noses so it can point due North, South, East and West. I've even drawn a picture of a Probopass rotating like this fast enough to create a whirlwind. Is there any truth to this? Is there anything to dis-prove it?

Unless the Pokedex explicitly states it, it can't be added. -Jeske (v^_^v) 17:49, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Jewish" Appearance? The line "Probopass may be intended to have a "Jewish" appearance." seems speculative and possibly offensive... should it really be there? Paul E Nolan 00:41, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like a drunken spainiard to me. But it could still be 'offensive' in some countries. User:Moofinluvr

That line can be nuked on-sight as blatant vandalism. -Jeske (v^_^v) 01:01, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To me, it kind of looks like Mario from Super Mario Bros. It even has the mustache.

I'd have to agree, but that is still original research and thus can't be added. -Jeske (v^_^v) 20:46, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
