The introduction and the body of the article seem totally at odds both in terms of tone and implied belief. I believe the first 2/3rds of the intro are more “accurate to a layperson” but it does lack any citation and stylistically clashes with the following article.

Can this be tidied up a bit? I read this entry and left more confused than I entered.
