How can bands such as The Verve and Radiohead be defined as "post-Britpop" when they were performing and recording some time before the notion of Britpop (as defined by Blur, Oasis, Pulp, etc) had even been thought of? Matthau (talk) 08:11, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Would MUSE be considered Post-Britpop? They were college dudes when Britpop came out and they were kind of different sounding. 119.40.118.36 (talk) 07:51, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

I see your point, but I have never seen a source that described them as such, which is what really matters. I suspect, since MUSE are pretty much unlike anything else around at the time, they probably get characterised as new-prog or something similar. As far as I can see, nearly all of the sources that depict post-grunge as a stylistic origin to post-Britpop rely on Allmusic sidebars (with the exception of this one, which seems as a band-oriented review rather than the whole genre/scene in general). The credibility of Allmusic sidebar is disputed and it was discussed for several times (on WP:ALBUMS, RSN and Kyuss' talk page). In each discussion, a consensus upon not citing the sidebar was established. Post-grunge should be removed due to this situation. Myxomatosis75 (talk) 19:15, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
