attention
I'm responding to the 'needs attention' flag. the Paleobiology Database suggests Paleospinax is a nomen dubium echoed in Klug & Kriwet (2008) who mention that the type specimen of Paleospinax priscus lacks any diagnostic characters to define the genus. However, a Google Scholar search suggests the Genus was in use until at least the 1990s, with several species named. If it is valid, this article should probably be developed at the genus level. If it turns out to be invalid, then its constituent species (including at least P. priscus P. rhaeticus, and P. egertoni) might eventually need to be referred to other genera/specie., if someone wants to do some homework. However, articles for the higher taxa might better be developed first (i.e. Synechodontiformes and Palaeospinacidae)--Animalparty-- (talk) 17:13, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
