Was not the first Kashmiri Pandit Vice-Chancellor of BHU, Iqbal Narain Gurtu preceded him. BHU has had few international level Vice-Chancellors and Dr. Dhar was one of them. He was a student of Sir Christopher Ingold and a Visiting Scientist with Linus Pauling. His contributions towards his beloved motherland Bharat were immense.'
