I believe the correct English transliteration (which is how the Library of Congress spells it) is: Mīrzā Kūchak Khān

No, Constitutionalist movement of Gilan is not being merged (although the title and the content seem unrelated i.e., the article is about what is known as "Jonbeshe Jangal" which Mirza started in 1914 after the constitutional movement os Gilan was over for several years and disappointment was prevailing etc., but that's a seperate issue). The merger is about the Mirza's pages (Mirza Kuchek Khan and Mirza Koochak Khan) since it makes sense to have just one, its just a matter of choosing one name; let me do some more search and will get back to you, so far I am just suggesting "koochek" since its closest to the way its originally pronounced by us, otherwise there are at least 7 different spellings in the net that I have seen so far!Gmotamedi 03:16, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. I hadnt seen that second article. Please do merge. But I do think that even though there are multiple versions of the name, and even though it is closer to correct Persian pronunciation as you say, the transcription that is most standardized in academic English is the one I recently provided. I merged them under the name that you suggested (Mīrzā Kūchak Khān) although its less commonly used according to a google search. I will do more detaild editing soon (to just make all statements historically accurate and documented). BTW, a typo happened first, so now the previous page (Mirza Kuchek Khan) is named Mirza "Koohak" Khan!
