Ratlinghope

The list gives the pronunciation of "Ratchup" while a footnote admits "Sometimes intuitive also". On the other side, the WP article on Ratlinghope states that "It is said that it is sometimes pronounced "Ratchup" by the locals, though none of the locals currently do so – the shortened version is thought to have been created by the post office." Sounds as if one would like to stick to the intuitive version. --Kreuzschnabel (talk) 07:54, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion to merge into List of places in England with counterintuitive pronunciations: A-L

I really don't have much to elaborate the suggestion with, other than the page being short enough to fit into the article on the rest of the English names. Starbeam2 (talk) 12:20, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the names from M-Z into the other England article. I figure this one should just be deleted instead. Starbeam2 (talk) 06:38, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
