Is this a copy-paste of someone's Instagram bio? "she learned the skills of booking reservations and planning an itinerary from them", I mean is this some kind of joke? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E34:EC05:37A0:446C:7F68:3DE7:8471 (talk) 20:00, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

Lexie Alford has not been to North Korea
There seems to be some confusion about her claims to have visited every single country including North Korea which most sources unquestioningly regurgitated. Alford herself seems to genuinely believe she was in North Korea because she was in the Korean DMZ Joint Security Area. However, she clearly was not in North Korea because the DMZ is not an international border for her to cross. She never passed through DPRK border control nor actually stepped foot on North Korea soil. Alford, being an American citizen is banned from visiting North Korea on a US passport according to US legislation (but not North Korean) based on the decision of the secretary of state.[1][2][3][4] and subject to punishment as felony persuant to 18 U.S. Code § 1544 - Misuse of passport.
It is safe to conclude based on the legal impossibility of such travel without punishment by her home country and video evidence (her own admission) that Lexie did not enter the DPRK. Andro611 (talk) 16:50, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
