Nomenclature Disparity

The article does not sufficiently address which of the two names, used interchangeably in the article, is preferred, or if they are equally appropriate. Name issue

If India, which owns the Lakshadweep Sea, why should we continue to call it Laccadive Sea? This was the result of the inability of a colonial power that was unable or diabolically changed all Sanskrit names to anglicized versions. 98.179.85.170 (talk) 16:11, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
