Material removed

Although I have removed a substantial amount of material, it was all either unsourced, poorly (i.e., non-RS) sourced or failed verification (i.e., the source was for one minor claim and not, as it appeared, for the entire sentence or paragraph). Some of it was just unrelated to the Italian invasion of French Somaliland and belongs somewhere else. I have no prejudice to it be re-added later with good sourced.
I am uncertain about the submarine war. This was solely an Anglo-Italian war and it took place throughout the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. There is no point in singling out French waters unless we are explicitly talking about actions against the French there. Italo-British actions in the Bab-el-Mandeb are not pertinent to the Italian invasion of French Somaliland. Srnec (talk) 01:37, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot understand why this well done article has been "erased" and moved to merge with another about French Somaliland during WW2. The submarine war was related to the waters of French Somaliland, so I reinstated it all. Italy was at war with France AND United Kingdom, so the actions in the Bab-el-Manded are pertinent with the Italian tentative to occupy Djibouti.--Frenchpoupon (talk) 20:29, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The submarine war needs reliable sources in whatever article it appears. Srnec (talk) 00:58, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
