Volume relativity between types of noises

For example: What is louder: the rotor or the engine?
What I'm missing is a graph showing the volume relativity between all the types of helicopter noises. That is:

  • on the vertical axis: the volume.
  • on the horizontal axis: the models, sorted by their years of putting the model into the market.

Because, for example: in a Bell UH1D the relativities myght differ much from latest models.

Well, it depends! Still UH-1 as example, HSI noise is pretty prominent in roughly +-5° of the rotor plane, thus a huey can be heard over 6-7 miles! The tail rotor noise is always there, but not as loud as the main rotor (compare a original Bell UH-1H to a German UH-1D with composite, quieter blades; wile you can hear the tail rotor on the Original Huey only on the last moments before flyover (the MR blades HSI noise I too loud), you can hear the tail rotor almost all the time)! BVI vortex noise on the other hand is louder on the German Huey, since the blades have a higher chord! The tip vortices interact when the helicopter is sinking or flaring during approach, and maybe during banking/higher bank angles)! Thickness noise is the noise you can hear when the rotor is at full rpm but the angle of attack of the blade is pretty small! If the angle of attack gets higher, the load of the rotor disk increases, thus the loading noise increases! Pretty complicated stuff tbh.....
