Although dubious as a reliable source, the following forum sorts out a mess of von Wedels:
http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/15540-which-wedel-is-which/. It seems the von Wedels were a military clan with a proclivity of using similar names. This forum may serve as a helpful guide to sorting them out.
