I will review, soon. Pyrotec (talk) 14:45, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Initial comments

Quite a readable article. I've been through the text once and I'm now going to go through it again, section by section, but leaving the WP:Lead until the end. I may fix minor problems as I go through the article, or I might list them below. So, if I don't comment on a particular section: either there were no problems, or I fixed them. I will produce an a overall summary after this subsection has been completed. Pyrotec (talk) 16:10, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Life -
  • I was initial concerned about the use of an Ancestry.com article (ref 1). Was it a WP:RS? Having checked, it provides images of its sources, such as the WWI Service Card , etc. So, I'm happy with the use of this reference.
  • Celebrity -
  • This has various direct quotations from refs 2, 3, and 6, but they are all in "quotes". So they are properly cited.
  • Death -

...stopping for now. To be continued. Pyrotec (talk) 21:33, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ref 8 is used to support the claim: "In addition to Truman, notable photojournalist Reid Blackburn and volcanologist David Alexander Johnston were killed." I eventully found David Alexander Johnston mentioned twice, but I've not yet found Reid Blackburn. Since this a multi-page document without numbers it would be useful to name the sections were these cliams are made.
  • These two sections appear to be compliant.

IMDB is not a WP:RS. Please replace it, I am also struggling to understand why this person is notable as a biography.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:54, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's only being used to cite that Art Carney portrayed him; I hardly think that constitutes it needing to be replaced. Truman's notable because he became sort of a folk hero as a result of the media's portrayal of his stubbornness. ceranthor 20:53, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
