Gyo - Kana vs. Kanji

While the Kanji for fish is actually 魚 which is usually read as さかな, but with the 音読み "ぎょ". Can anyone prove either of them ? Shaideau (talk) 22:29, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with the proposal to merge The Enigma of Amigara Fault. That article details a short story, and provides almost nothing beyond a plot summary. Short stories are not inherently Notable, and organization-wise, I think it'd be just fine to put the summary into this article. -Verdatum (talk) 22:05, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyediting notes

This is a really interesting article. Since I'm not famillar with Gyo, I have some questions:

  • What did the doctor's father create that "pumped the germs into the host and in turn release the gas that powers the walking machine" And what is the walking machine? A machine for walking?
  • Is the gas deadly? Or does it just smell really bad?
  • So, if infection by micro-organisms --> production of gas, then how can Kaori become infected by the gas?
Thank you, Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 19:51, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Rapunzel-bellflower: The walking machine is a machine with legs and some air-vent pipes (you can see the legs and the pipes in the cover). The walking machine pumps germs into the subject, which causes the subject to release gas. the pipes then direct the gas into the machine that powers the machine to walk and inject more of the germ.s
Yes, the Gas is both deadly and smells bad. The gas causes others to get infected by the germs which makes them release gas. Lucia Black (talk) 21:14, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. :) I have some more questions:

  • So, it was a virus after all?
  • The idea that the virus is creating the machines contradicts the earlier sentence that the doctor's father built the machines?

The virus was created for animals to carry it and in turn the gas would cause a horrible stench that would effect there enemies. the virus however slowed down the animals. so the walking machines were made by the doctor's father so that they can be carried further.
The walking machine is made up of legs, and air tubes and injectors. it is made so that it pierces the subject with the virus, and in turn the infected subject would release the gas, the air vents would connect to where it releases te gas, and it would fuel the walking machine, which causes the machine to "walk".
Throughout the series, however, the walking machine and the gas starts to have a mind of its own. and a circus even explains the gas is made up of souls, and such. and at the very end, (and very casually), some students explain that the walking machines are being made by the virus itself. But its so far in the end, its not really something to explain in the beginning or middle. Lucia Black (talk) 22:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Gosh, you weren't kidding about the plot being confusing. :) Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 04:27, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
