Interesting that the reference to informing on supposed communists was simply removed. Ryz 05:09, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The "reference" was removed? No, an assertion, without any cited source, was removed. I put a [citation needed] mark on the assertion, where it remained for perhaps a week or two. Nobody stepped forward with a cite. In the process of rewriting the article, I removed the unsupported assertion--it was not related to his important contributions, and without a cite, it was simply a slander. --Anthon.Eff 14:49, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed move: G. P. Murdock

He is overwhelmingly known as G. P. Murdock in the literature, and this should be the title of this article as it is what readers are most likely to search for.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:10, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree with an article name change - perhaps to George P. Murdock? Leaving it as it is, I am concerned that there will be too much confusion with George Murdock (actor). What do we think about making George Murdock a disambiguation page? KConWiki (talk) 14:38, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it should be a disambiguation page. None of the George Murdocks are the primary topic.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 16:58, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
