This article as it currently stands appears to be a direct quote from Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I cannot find any evidence on Google that a General Lamarque ever existed outside of that story, however I am not sufficiently expert to know for sure. --Dglynch 04:03, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jean Maximilien Lamarque is a real person who now has his own article. Is it appropriate to redirect General Lamarque there? --Aophite
