Article title
This should really be "Hostage taking of ..." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.14.81.58 (talk)
- Your point is a good one. In defining the word "hostage" I found this, "a person seized or held as security for the fulfillment of a condition." (see https://www.google.com/search?q=hostage+definition&rlz=1C1GCEB_enUS945US945&oq=hostage+definition&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB46BwgAEEcQsAM6BwgAELADEEM6CAgAEOQCELADOgoILhDIAxCwAxBDOgoILhCxAxBDEJMCOgcIABCxAxBDOgQIABBDOggILhCABBCxAzoECC4QQzoLCAAQgAQQsQMQgwE6BQguEIAESgUIPBIBMUoECEEYAEoFCDwSATFKBAhBGABQ5BhYmyFg1SNoAXACeACAAbMBiAHPCJIBAzYuNZgBAKABAcgBE8ABAQ&sclient=gws-wiz). Given various news sources reportedhow the release of Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig was done after the release of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, (see https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-58687071) the proposed title seems appropriate as it matches the definition of hostage. Duplication
Perhaps as a result of the recent merger, there are several areas of duplication, and out-of-sequence text. Perhaps an involved editor could give it a once-over? Davidships (talk) 19:41, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
Michael Kovrig page
I am looking to create a separate main page for Michael Kovrig, to provide more information on his personal and professional background. I noticed in this article there is a link to Michael Spavor's page, but when I attempted to create a page for Michael Kovrig it was deleted and linked back to this one. I believe much of the information to be relevant and detailed enough to warrant the creation of a separate page. Adam Scolin (talk) 18:30, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Sinophobic Propaganda
It seems that recent revelations have made a farce out of all the western accusations, and also vindicated China, as the two were spying.
