Will the real Damon Fox please stand up?

There are two Damon Foxes, according to Wikipedia. However, I am beginning to doubt that this is the case. Damon Fox (writer) is apparently a writer and musician, whose page has biographical details and has not done much of note in the past decades; Damon Fox (musician) has no biographical details and a lot going on in past decades. The former is known for making controversial mondo films, and the latter has a public interest in the macabre and serial killers. This made me begin to wonder: are there actually two of them?

According to IMDb, no. Although it is not a source to our standards in itself, the fact that both have done film industry work and have allowed their pages to be merged is strange. To me, it looks like Damon Fox was born in 1966 and became a musician in the 1980s, but continued to pursue his love for all things spooky into the 1990s and made films. He then achieved success with The Cult, Bigelf, and others, and this became largely defining of his career, although his association with figures like Rob Zombie in film allowed him to continue his horror passions.

Again, if this has already been discussed, that's fine. I could see a person distancing themself from their youthful career, but it seems like Damon has achieved notoriety in two areas of his life and I think it's badass to take credit for it. What do we think? PickleG13 (talk) 19:46, 29 March 2024 (UTC) PickleG13 (talk) 19:46, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
