There's also an article for Crankshaft Position Sensor, which seems to also be another name for the same thing the same thing.
Suggest it would be good to merge these pages and clear up some of the irrelavent information in each. Also a page on Camshaft Position Sensors should be created to capture the ability [of the two sensors combined] to detect the stroke that the piston is on and inject the fuel where required. This is done when starting an engine so that fuel is not injected before the exhaust stroke --Turtle (talk) 12:39, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
