Talk:Core values of the United States Navy

As I was doing research on Navy Core Values for my history paper, I was having trouble piecing together information about the creation and introduction of the Navy's core values. I could not actually find the document I mention, NAVOPS 030/92. I believe that the Marine corps had its core values first, but I am not sure. I'm starting this stub away from the computer with my research. I figure its better to get this out there and attract attention and find some useful sources.

Can anyone help me out, either by telling me something historical about the values or pointing me to some primary sources?

Also, I am unsure whether to put this in military history, US Navy, or leave as is. Its current, but also is about history. It also applies to the marine corps. I'm thinking that as it gets bigger, it will spin off subsections.

I think this would be better off in the main US Navy article. In any event, there's not much to be said about the core values of the navy that a section in a 'history' article couldn't say! Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 02:03, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking it should be merged into United States Navy (make it part of the Naval Culture section), along with Sailor's creed. I doubt that either articles will ever come out of stub status.
