Venomous genera within family Ctenidae?

From what I've read the genus Phoneutria is the only genus within the family Ctenidae that has potent enough bite and venom to be a real danger to humans, is it known if any of the other genera of that family really do have as potent of venom? --Fxer 06:37, May 20, 2005 (UTC)

merge with Brazlian wandering spider

The article Brazilian wandering spider describes the entire genus Phoneutria in much greater detail than this article. I propose merging (better yet, deleting and redirecting) this with that article. --EngineerScotty 22:24, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

However, the name "Brazilian" wandering spider does not apply to the genus as a whole, but primarily to Phoneutria fera and closely related species that occur in Brazil. Peter coxhead (talk) 08:12, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
