Talk:Barszcz czerwony

The description of this soup bears a striking resemblance to that of borscht, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were, in fact, identical. As such, I propose a merge, but I'd like to make sure that it would be reasonable first. --Jitterro 23:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My recollection is a little hazy, coming from a trip I made several years ago, but this sounds like the Polish name for Borshch to me. In Poland (at least in Krakow, which is where I encountered this) there are two kinds of borshch, with the one made from beets being called 'Ukarinian Borshch'.
