I have some wartime photographs taken by my late grandfather, one or two of which include Hezlet. I will be very glad to add them to this article once I am able to upload images to the English WP. For All Seasons (talk) 00:41, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The second sentence of the lede was misleading
It said:
He became the Royal Navy's youngest captain, aged 36, and its youngest admiral, aged 45.
Im times past there were several RN officers who were promoted to captain at younger ages e.g. Alexander Thomas Emeric Vidal. The mistake in this article seems to have come from a badly worded obituary in BBC news, which failed to make clear that Hezlet was the youngest captain at the time: see e.g. his entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. The same goes for promotion to flag rank. I have corrected the mistake accordingly.Ttocserp 10:57, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
Disposal of German submarines at the mouth of Lough Foyle.
I was aware of Sir Arthur's oversight of the disposal of many German submarines near to the mouth of Lough Foyle, at the end of WW2. This was not mentioned elsewhere in Wikipedia. 217.155.28.101 (talk) 12:58, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
