Change of affiliation

Because I'm a connected contributor, I'm requesting someone else's help for two items:

1. Affiliation update: She is now Pro-Vice Chancellor: Research, Innovation and Development at the University of Namibia. (Sources: <LinkedIn (https://na.linkedin.com/in/aniciapeters)>, <University of Namibia News Forum, June 2, 2020 (http://forumonline.unam.edu.na/behold-anicia-peters-begins-her-reign/)>

2. The "low importance" rating should be reconsidered. Dr. Peters is one of the most important women in STEM in Africa. Africa is not as connected as Europe/N.America, so traditional measures of importance (eg, number of pages pointing to her or whatever wikipedia uses for this) won't work well. Please read some of the African news sources and reconsider the importance rating. For example, as the <Univ. Namibia Forum, June 2, 2020 (http://forumonline.unam.edu.na/behold-anicia-peters-begins-her-reign/)> points out: "She was selected as a UNESCO Research Chair in Gender and Digital Technology in September 2019. She serves as an Editor for Elsevier’s Scientific African Journal and is the founder of the Africa Human Computer Interaction Conference (AfriCHI)." Check the new intro. --Tanonero (msg) 16:25, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, the new intro fixes the affiliation. What has to be done to get the "Low Importance" reconsidered? Margaretburnett (talk) 22:29, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Margaretburnett: No problem. I am not familiar with articles' assessment, someone else will probably reply regarding that. Tanonero (msg) 22:42, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
[I'm also not independent wrt Prof Peters] Hi Margaretburnett! "Low importance" does not literally mean "unimportant". Rather it is an assessment from the point of view of the Wikipedia projects listed above: What would readers absolutely need to know about this topic? For instance, from the point of view of Wikiproject Namibia, of the Namibian people covered on Wikipedia the presidents are "high", current ministers and party leaders are "mid", and almost all others are low. This is not an assessment of Prof Peters' achievements! From what I know she might be important for the WikiProject Women scientists, but this assessment would have to be done by an editor from that project. Hope that helps, Pgallert (talk) 06:14, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
