Death Place and Memorial

He was not killed at Ypres because the CWGC link gives his place of commemoration as the Thiepval Memorial which was for those killed in the Somme sector who have no known grave. The Menin Gate would have been the equivalent for those killed in the Ypres Salient. His death place according to the linked information with the rugby site was Beaumont Hamel.
