Other types of APH could be included such as:

• Plate-type
• Cast-iron (DEKA) as used in refinery heaters
• Heat-pipe system

I do agree that these articles rather obviously should be merged. That is, the relevant contents of Air heater should be selected and merged into the more mature Air preheater article. --Claus Hindsgaul 05:56, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The proposal to merge Air heater into Air preheater was initiated by Samw on October 7, 2007 and discussed on here on this Talk page... where Claus Hindsgaul and I both agreed with merger proposed by Samw.

I have proposed that the Regenerative air heater article also be merged into this article.
