Sprint Cup

Why is this an article? The WeatherTech Sprint Cup is no different than the Michelin Endurance Cup, it is part of the full WeatherTech Championship season. Full-season GTD participants will be part of the Sprint Cup just as much as they will be part of the Endurance Cup.

Further, it makes even less sense to remove entries from the WeatherTech Series article when they will be participating in events for the season. The Sprint Cup is not some different series. The359 (Talk) 07:43, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I removed those entries because the events that Sprint Cup entrants participate in are separate from those of the actual WeatherTech Championship season. They are not registered for the GTD championship, therefore shouldn't be listed as an entry on the full WeatherTech page. Or, if we should merge the articles, have the Sprint Cup entries be distinguished from the WTSCC entries in the GTD entry section. User:Johannes275 (Talk) 15:40, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

But that's not true at all. This is literally identical to the NAEC. A chanpionship within a championship. There is nothing stating those running just the sprint races are ineligible for the overall GTD championship, and full-season GTD teams are eligible for the Sprint Cup.
