Clarification on the lawsuits
The context of the legal action is this. The Coalition expects governments to delay to the last minute to give them clearance to protest. So to force the hand of the city, they sued. In actuality, the city is actually facing budget issues and problems with paying officers. The court upheld the city's right to decide the permit anyway. Then the city was nice and issued the protest route which is apparently way earlier than has ever been issued for a convention. Now the Coalition doesn't like the route and may consider suing again to get a better route. .:davumaya:. 17:08, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
