Hey, you asked me to look at the page and be of some help to which I said yes. But I haven't made a single edit to the article yet 'cause right now I really want to make Gaga's article an FA with you and Snuggums. I surely will get to the list too sometime later. What do you say? -- Frankietalk21:57, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@FrB.TG: hey that's fine I guess, we have to really work hard on Gaga's article, and I'm sure me and Calvin999 can work on the list. You can give your input whenever you get time? —IB[ Poke ]23:16, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
List of songs recorded by Madonna has been nominated for Did You Know
Hey matey. As you know I've been out of the loop for a few years now, so do you have any idea when Billboard posts the audiences/grosses for example, MCs holiday shows, her February Vegas leg (then other 2), European leg etc. How long do they usually take or is it once a year? Cheers bro, hope your're well. Ps. Is there any way to get some box office info on her 'Chanteuse Tour'? It was dreadful lol but bitch sold out 5 Chinese stadiums. I wanna see dem reciepts lmaoo ;)--PeterGriffin • Talk2Me18:48, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Petergriffin, as far as I know, they publish the boxscore only when the merchant reports them, like how SoundScan takes the point of sales data. I have never seen Mariah Carey live and this time I am definitely gonna see her, so excited. —IB[ Poke ]20:46, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, why the "oh"?! Yeah I am. I saw her in Vegas last year after waiting 10 years now she's coming to 40 minutes from where I live. — Calvin99910:02, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Indian! How are you =)? I'm working on the version of Madonna's Don't Cry for Me Argentina in the Wikipedia in Spanish and I found that the song peaked at number 3 on RPM's Adult Contemporary Tracks: here. Further, according to Madonna's offcial website, "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" was released on 11 February 1997. Also confirmed by the Discogs page. That's all, friend! I'm so sorry for my English, I don't speak it... yet, jeje. Thanks, Indian! Goodbye, MadonnaFan (talk) 21:06, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I see, but I think this template is specifically for the purpose of keeping sources on talk pages displayed near the discussion itself, rather than bunching at the bottom of the article, especially since it interrupts the lowest discussion on the talk page. ---Another Believer(Talk)18:03, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi IndianBio it's been awhile since we last chatted. I see you're still active on music related subjects and was wondering if you could help out on the "Heart of Glass" article. I've tried adding a genre to Giselle Bundchen's version of "Heart of Glass" but another editor removed my edit and my ref stating Allmusic was not a good ref. Could you find a reliable source for the genre of Giselle's single? Also if you have the time could you add the track listings for her version of "Heart of Glass"? I believe there is two versions available, a radio edit and a club edit for her single. Thanks. Cadencool20:43, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Caden, the user is right that AllMusic is unreliable for genres, good for reviews and all though. And I really am busy in my wiki work load so have to decline the request for editing the article. —IB[ Poke ]09:48, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Born Thin Way
Hi. You reverted twice my edit (adding [[Category:Songs with feminist themes]]) in Born This Way (song), calling my edit as WP:OR. As I said, the article itself says that 'Ann Powers from Los Angeles Times noted that the video paid tribute to the Goddess movement and feminism', and I just followed this description. However, you said 'The video paid the tribute, not necessarily the song, please don't mix your WP:OR in it', but considering other music articles, I think the content of the video can be (or should be) reflected in the category: please read Numb (Linkin Park song), and it does not necessarily contains themes about bullying, but it is included in [[Category:Songs about bullying]] mainly because of the video. I think your standard of WP:OR is too strict and not very consistent with the previous examples of the music articles. さえぼー (talk) 03:49, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No it is not my standard but Wikipedia's. Previous examples of music articles also is not important in this discussion, since it concerns with "Born This Way" the song, not a LP song. The article is about the song, where this feminist theme description fails and interpreting it as such using what the video is described is what blatantly fails as WP:OR. Have a good day. —IB[ Poke ]09:47, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
So, to avoid WP:OR I added several references mentioning the song's feminist or girl-power message and added the category again. I think this time you won't think "this feminist theme description fails" or that I violated WP:OR because I used three appropriate references. And would you please be kind enough to quote the part of WP:OR which discourages us from "using what the video is" to explain the song, following Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers? さえぼー (talk) 02:58, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You'll See
Hello! how are you? I'm currently working on expanding "You'll See", I wanna get that article, one of my favorite Madonna songs, to a good article. I was wondering if you could help me fix up the charts/commercial section, right there before I move it to the actual article's page. Hope to hear your answer! Cheers! --Chrishm21 (talk) 20:10, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No Chrishm, please don't move it to the mainspace, its really bad in terms of its formatting and references. Let me correct it in the sandbox and then move it. —IB[ Poke ]23:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help with "You'll See"! Hopefully we'll be able to collaborate in more articles! I wanted to ask if it was okay if I nominate it for GA now.--Chrishm21 (talk) 17:43, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Chrishm21 I will be glad to collaborate with you, but I have to help two of 11JORN's articles now lol. And I am waiting for the source for one info in the "You'll See" article after that I will nominate it with your name. —IB[ Poke ]09:52, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The one I'm most interested in nominating is Like a Prayer, from what I did with that one, I think it's practically done, all it needs is some clean up and rearrangement of the content and sources. I would also like to work on Erotica and Bedtime Stories singles. If there's anything I can do to help you or 11JORN, please tell me :) --Chrishm21 (talk) 18:07, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Chrishm21:, done then, after 11JORN's articles I will help you with Like a Prayer, its a great album , although not my favorite. By the way Erotica the album article is already GA, perhaps you meant the song article? —IB[ Poke ]08:56, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@GagaNutella: lol its best I guess since we have the Oscars and some more info will be added if she wins as well as performs the song. TIHTY has also been climbing AC chart, so it might do something there. —IB[ Poke ]08:57, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
oh it's true. I still can't believe it topped the dance club chart lmao I asked you because I was worried if there is a deadline to review a GA. Also about the song, do you think we're have any chance at the Grammys and Oscars? I guess we won't win the Grammy, but we'll take home the Oscar! GagaNutellatalk14:40, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It already lost to "Glory". Thank god "Bore You Again" did not win again and I hope it loses Song of the Year. Sick and tired of that and "Uptown Funk". —IB[ Poke ]22:36, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Cedric! I am very grateful for all of your edits on Wikipedia, especially edits for music articles! Personally, I am very passionate about all things Gwen Stefani and No Doubt. A WikiProject Gwen Stefani has recently been started and is currently on the hunt for new members! Even if you're not familiar with their work, your substantially HIGH level of expertise is very welcome here! WP would appreciate your membership if it works for you, and we look forward to seeing you there! Thanks so much for your time! Cheers! Carbrera (talk) 23:38, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"4 in the Morning" is my favorite song of hers. I might not join, but hook me up whenever you are developing anything from The Sweet Escape era. <3 —IB[ Poke ]09:48, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't suppose you can add the source for it's peak of 7 selling 44,000 and total sales of 172,000 please? It's unsourced atm. — Calvin99910:40, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Calvin999, I can't find it in Music Week website. Not sure if the person who added it found it from the print magazine, which I won't have. —IB[ Poke ]11:47, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
How are you! :) just to let you know I'm also working on this expansion if you're interested in heloi g me; it's harder tho :S not to many ifnormation regarding the background or critical reception. --Chrishm21 (talk) 22:57, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, you have removed all of the incoming links to Maverick Records, leaving in the edit summary a justification that the article has been redirected and as such the links are no longer necessary. I see that you have done this for several hundred articles, I presume using some sort of script. However, persons interested in knowing something about Maverick Records can still find relevant information about the label by looking at the article for the parent company (and I'm not entirely sure why it was redirected; was there an AfD about this or something? Maverick's a rather important record label!). So having Maverick Records linked in music articles is still an important arrangement. Can you please undo the link removal using the same script? I don't use any automated tools, and so it would be very cumbersome for me to sit and undo all your edits manually; I don't have that many hours to devote to this over the weekend, and I presume the automation makes the task rather simple. Chubbles (talk) 21:10, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi IndianBio. Please revert the removal of these wikilinks to Maverick Records. They are valid links according to our guidelines about redirects and wikilinks, and are useful to readers. Thanks very much, Paul Erik(talk)(contribs)02:56, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Indian! How are you? I saw that GVH2 peaked at number 8 in Argentina, source provided by CAPIF and Billboard. Good information for the article ;). Thanks, Indian! And sorry again for my English. MadonnaFan (talk) 21:31, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, Indian . It's my pleasure to give everything I can about Madonna. She's my idol. Any information I have, I'll let you know ;). Thanks, Indian. I send you a big hug :). MadonnaFan (talk) 21:49, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Since you are an avid editor of Adele-related articles, just wanted to inform you about the GA nomination of "All I Ask". Fell free to make any rectifications you want, pre-review. Thanks.--MaranoFan (talk) 07:34, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, IndianBio. Please check your email; you've got mail! It may take a few minutes from the time the email is sent for it to show up in your inbox. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{You've got mail}} or {{ygm}} template.
Hi. You reverted my edit of Madonna's "Rescue Me" after I added the UK cover of the single. Your reason for its removal was that 'Extra covers are not allowed unless there are strong rationale behind it'. Is that a Wikipedia policy or your own ideal? I see plenty of other alternative covers on album and single articles. The reason I added it was that there's a mention in the "Rescue Me" article of the very different UK cover, a photograph shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, so I thought it was notable to include in the article, and readers may wonder what that cover looked like seeing it had been mentioned. Anyway, you seem to be in charge of the Madonna articles so I guess what you says goes. --Geach (talk) 13:25, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well, I can't argue against that. By the way, as a UK resident I actually have both versions of "Rescue Me" in my record collection - the 7" vinyl has the 'UK cover' and my CD version (made in Germany) has the 'normal' cover. I think some more research needs to be done into it because different covers for "Rescue Me" do exist out there! --Geach (talk) 13:57, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"Vogue"
Why don't you work on this iconic song of Madonna instead of the EDM dud? I think it's one of Madonna's best and is personally my favorite of her work. I would have worked on it myself but I have never contributed to a song article so I'm not sure. Anyway, I hope you do have a plan for this song and I'll try to be of a lil bit of help. -- Frankietalk14:12, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@FrB.TG: I'm kinda in a mellow mood nowadays, so is actually working on the Madonna ballad articles like "You'll See". Have you heard it? If not you should. I have "Vogue" on my mind shortly though. —IB[ Poke ]14:16, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
