The Arizona gubernatorial election of 2010 will be held on November 2, 2010.

Democratic Governor Janet Napolitano was nominated to become Secretary of Homeland Security by President-elect Barack Obama. She may be confirmed by the United States Senate in January 2009. Since Arizona does not have a lieutenant governor, Republican Secretary of State Jan Brewer is first in the state's gubernatorial line of succession and would become governor upon Napolitano's subsequent resignation. Brewer may seek a full term in 2010.

Potential Democratic candidates include Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and state Attorney General Terry Goddard.[1]
