If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

- Nishi-Shinjuku Station → Nishi-shinjuku Station (currently a redirect back to Nishi-Shinjuku Station) (move · discuss) – Official station capitalization as per the official Tokyo Metro website. HaapsaluYT (talk) 22:16, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Shinjuku is the name of a place, so wouldn't MOS:HYPHENCAPS suggest to use uppercase? Also, I notice that the sign for Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station also uses a lowercase 'g'. There may be other cases like these, and they should be consistent. On the other hand, there is Higashi-shinjuku Station. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:43, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Shinjuku is the name of a place, but so is Nishi-Shinjuku (yes it uses uppercase capitalization). This is a source of inconsistency across Japanese articles. See Shakujii-kōen Station vs Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station vs Ōizumi-gakuen Station for this issue (all three should ideally be lowercase). Additionally see Higashikurume, Tokyo vs Higashi-Kurume Station, which demonstrates how location names are romanized differently by source. Higashi-shinjuku Station is correct lowercase because it uses official capitalization as per the Tokyo Metro website. HaapsaluYT (talk) 17:50, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Milan Smith → Milan D. Smith, Jr. (currently a redirect back to Milan Smith) (move · discuss) – Judge Smith's full name is Milan D. Smith, Jr., as opposed to just Milan Smith. Adg135cg (talk) 18:00, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Sinomeganeura (currently a redirect to Oligotypus) → Oligotypus (move · discuss) – Synonymized according to Li et al. (2013).[1] Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 08:47, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- The fact that one source says something doesn't make it an unquestionable fact. Has this synonymization been accepted by most relevant authorities? — BarrelProof (talk) 23:33, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
- Cryptomartus hindi (currently a redirect to Anthracomartus) → Anthracomartus (move · discuss) – Synonymized according to Garwood and Dunlop (2011).[6] Probably enough to be genus article. Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 08:47, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

- Hyžný et al. (2013) lists species hindi as a species of Anthracomartus.[7] Dunlop et al. (2020) shows Cryptomartus is synonym of Anthracomartus[8]. Those all papers have Jason A. Dunlop as author or coauthor, since he is one of the expert fossil arachnid researcher, I am not sure that authors other than Dunlop agrees that, but searching in Google Scholar after 2020 shows, 8 results for "Anthracomartus" while 0 results for "Cryptomartus". - Livvy (disambiguation) (currently a redirect to Olivia (name)) → Livvy (currently a redirect instead to Olivia (name)) (move · discuss) – Self-evident. (FYI, for some reason, another editor had redirected Livvy to Olivia (name).) Clarityfiend (talk) 20:07, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Everything on the disambiguation page is related to women named Olivia. The current redirect makes sense, and the Livvy (disambiguation) page should be merged. 162 etc. (talk) 04:31, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- Marina Oliver is an Olivia? Clarityfiend (talk) 21:15, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? Livvy West is a pen name. Clarityfiend (talk) 11:08, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Choi Dae-zip is invalid. Must create Choi Dae-zip before requesting that it be moved to Draft:Choi Dae-zip.– New article not ready for mainspace AusLondonder (talk) 10:46, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Are stubs not allowed now? Seems like it's OK as is, and I've added a reference to it. — Amakuru (talk) 11:01, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Ok great, was going to suggest WP:DRAFTIFY. Not convinced on notability though as it also appears unsourced at Korean wiki. AusLondonder (talk) 11:12, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- @AusLondonder is there any issue stopping you from moving it yourself? Also you can use User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft to assist you in moving the article to draftspace and providing a notification to the editor(s). – robertsky (talk) 06:50, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Previously there was as Draft:Choi Dae-zip was a redirect to a page created in error. AusLondonder (talk) 14:28, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Innocent Victims → Civilian casualty (move · discuss) – I disambiguated the former Innocent Victims to Innocent Victims (statue). Now the bare Innocent Victims should redirect to a better target, Civilian casualty proposed. Assuming link targets might need to be changed so using this technical request rather than moving the redirect myself. PK-WIKI (talk) 03:31, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- @PK-WIKI: I reverted that undiscussed move. Innocent Victims, capitalized and plural, is a proper name. There's no need for disambiguation, especially when innocent victims isn't an article. Note Innocent Victim is also a proper name without disambiguation. Station1 (talk) 03:53, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- 2017 Speaker of the United States House of Representatives election → 2017 speaker of the United States House of Representatives election (currently a redirect back to 2017 Speaker of the United States House of Representatives election) (move · discuss) – Proposed title already exists, according to server. Proper capitiliazation. BurgeoningContracting 20:15, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- @BurgeoningContracting: The proposed title already exists because this would be reverting a move from years ago, as with several of the other 8 speaker election articles you moved today. This move is potentially controversial, so it would require a requested-move discussion, which you can begin by clicking "discuss" on your request. You can remove this request after opening a discussion (or if you do not want to continue). SilverLocust 💬 20:40, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Gurgaon → Gurugram (currently a redirect back to Gurgaon) (move · discuss) – The city was officially renamed Gurugram in 2016 by the Haryana government. Piyush09ranjannn (talk) 09:51, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- What is the WP:COMMONNAME used in English-language reliable sources that are independent of the government? — BarrelProof (talk) 23:46, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: @Piyush09ranjannn: Per the discussions on Talk:Gurgaon, this would be a controversial move and requires consensus, preferably in the form of a move request, first. --Ahecht (TALK
