I substituted Bratislava for "Pressburg/Pozsony." Those are the German and Hungarian names of the city, but it is common usage in English today to use the current Slovak name. (If using the historic names the Slovak Prešporok could also have been used, even if the city's ethnic composition was not mostly Slovak.)

His area of origin is now Ukraine, although in his lifetime was part of the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth. As his birthplace is given later, it's probably best not to name the country in this context.

This gives the impression that all the other charterhouses mentioned are very old. That is not the case, certainly with the US and the Argentinian charterhouse.

The counter-Ref was very powerful also in parts of what is now thought of as Eastern Europe (Czech Rep., Hungary, Poland) & at the same time Protestantism was very powerful also in Western Europe, and it discouraged the worship of Mary.
