2024 Pro Cricket League Season

The Pro Cricket League (PCL) is a franchise-based cricket tournament which is scheduled to begin with its first edition in 2024.[1] It will feature former international cricket players. The competition was announced in July 2024, with 6 teams slated to play 18 matches against each other during the tournament.[2][3]

The first edition is scheduled to start in September 2024, from 28 September to 13 October in India, with the matches being held at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes was announced as the brand ambassador of this edition.[4][5][6] In addition, former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma has been appointed as the League Commissioner.[7]

Background

The pre-launch ceremony for the tournament draft will take place on 31 August 2024 at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.[citation needed]
