Million Dollar Baby is a synthpop album by English artist Pixey. Her debut, the album was released on 2 August 2024 through Chess Club Records.
Background and release
Million Dollar Baby was preceded by four singles. "The Thrill of It", which acted as the first single and released on 30 January 2024, was her first self-produced song.[1] The second single was the title track and premiered on BBC Radio 1 on 30 April.[2] The third, "Bring Back the Beat" was released on 18 June,[3] and was followed up on 16 July by "Give a Little of Your Love".[4][5] The album was then released through Chess Club Records on 2 August.[6] It is her debut full-length album.[7]
Reception
The album was well received by critics. Emily Savage of The Line of Best Fit awarded it an 8/10, Kelly Scanlon for Far Out gave it 3.5/5 stars, and Arwa Haider of the Financial Times gave it 3/5 stars.[6][8][9]
