Rachel Hardy (born February 24, 1998) is a Canadian composer, vocalist, and internet personality. She is known for her music covers on YouTube, which focus heavily on music from video games, TV shows, and film.

Career

YouTube

Hardy posted her first video on YouTube in 2013. Her channel comprises of cover songs, original music, and vlogs.[3] Her following surpassed 100,000 subscribers in September, 2020, earning her a Silver YouTube Creator Award.[4]

Composition

The Westworld Scoring Competition

In 2020, Spitfire Audio and HBO hosted an online competition that invited composers to score a 4-minute scene from Westworld (Season 3), for which Hardy was named one of the five runners up out of over 11,000 entries. The competition was judged by a panel comprising of the show's composer Ramin Djawadi, executive producer J.J. Abrams, and creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.[5] Hardy entered the competition while a student at the University of Calgary.[6]
