King of New Age is the first extended play by Nigerian record producer Kọurage Beatz NSI, formerly known as Skopy Lonky.[1][2] It was released on 10 August 2024 by NSI Nation and distributed by Ditto Music.[3]
Background and release
King of New Age features four tracks with guest appearances from Cynthia Morgan, GoodGirl LA and American singer Ellen Haad and combines elements from R&B, Afro fusion, Afrobeats, and Afropop.[4]
Critical reception
From South Carolina, Sheen Magazine praised the EP, calling it "a clear nod to genre conventions" while also noting that Kourage Beatz NSI "feels those most-human of emotions: heartache, isolation, pressure to conform, but refuses to be shackled by them."[5]
BroadwayWorld also called it a compilation that "portrays, majestic, serene and transcendent."[3]
