Hourcast is an American band, formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2002. The lineup consisted of vocalist Patrick McBride, drummer Jerry Clews, bassist Dave Sullivan, and guitarist Dave Henriquez. Following several name changes, the band settled on HourCast and released their debut album, "State of Disgrace" in the summer of 2006 under Alkamedia Records. Categorized as heavy metal, their music spanned a fusion of hard rock, metal, and alternative styles.

Since their formation, HourCast has played all over the United States, released three full-length albums, and multiple singles.

The band's formation began when drummer Jerry Clews and guitarist Dave Henriquez started collaborating on song ideas with Michall Ellenhart,^[1] Synth and Electronics. Vocalist Patrick McBride was selected and with the addition of bassist Dave Sullivan the lineup was complete. HourCast began playing local venues in the Boston area.

Released on September 24, 2004, the first self-titled album "HourCast" featured five songs. The EP was sold at smaller shows and went out of production when the band signed with Alkamedia Records.

In May, 2006, the first full-length album "State of Disgrace" was released. It gained significant media attention with the single, "Freeze," which received a music video treatment and was featured on popular music programs like Fuse's "Uranium", and on the MTV program "Headbangers Ball".

HourCast's song "Sakkara" found its place on the soundtrack for "Saw 3" on October 27, 2006.^[2] These platforms grew the popularity of the band's talent and helped them establish a loyal fan base.

On June 1, 2010, HourCast took their music in a new direction with their follow-up album, "Dystopia". This release showcased a heavier hard rock style, characteristically stripped of keyboards. This evolution in their sound was born out of the band's urge to experiment and grow as musicians.

In April, 2011, HourCast collaborated with Adult Film Star Jesse Jane for their music video "Attraction". In an interview with Hard Rock Reviews^[3], Patrick McBride stated "We wanted a female lead that could really cut loose and be a psycho, ala Mallory Knox from Natural Born Killers".

HourCast hit the road alongside prominent rock acts such as Black Label Society^[4], Godsmack^[5], Breaking Benjamin,^[6] Sevendust,^[7] Volbeat,^[8] CKY,^[9] and 30 Seconds to Mars,^[10] in support of their debut album. The band collaborated with several artists on stage, including Wil Martin, of Earshot, and Chad Szelgia, of Breaking Benjamin.

In late 2023, HourCast began releasing videos for previously unreleased songs, as well as older music. These included "Smash Up", "Trust Me", and "Altered States".

HourCast has been working on new material, with a new release expected soon.
