Bolesławice [bɔlɛswaˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the urban-rural Gmina Jaworzyna Śląska, within Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Jaworzyna Śląska, 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Świdnica, and 48 kilometres (30 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

History

When it was part of medieval Piast-ruled Poland, in 1193, the tithe from Bolesławice was granted to the Canons Regular Monastery in Wrocław.[2] The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the Polish male given name Bolesław.[3]
