Balbir Singh Verma (born 4 April 1971) is an Indian politician, who currently serves as Member of Legislative Assembly from Chopal constituency.[1][2][3] Balbir Singh Verma won from Chopal constituency in 2017 state assembly elections.[4][5]

Early life and education

Balbir Singh Verma, born on 4 April 1971 in Katiyana, Shimla, is a multifaceted individual whose life journey encompasses service in the armed forces, international missions, and active participation in politics. He is the son of Late Shri Dharam Dass Verma and is married to Smt. Meena Devi Verma, with whom he has a son.

Military career

Balbir Singh Verma, before venturing into active politics, contributed to the defense forces by serving in the Border Security Force (BSF) and participating in the United Nations Organization Police Mission abroad for six years. His experiences in these roles shaped his understanding of service and commitment.

Professional career

Apart from his service in the defense forces, Balbir Singh Verma is involved in diverse fields, including being a Builder/Promoter, Hotelier, Horticulturist, Agriculturist, and Industrialist. Balbir Singh Verma entered the political arena and made his mark by being elected to the State Legislative Assembly in December 2012.
