• Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate. It seemed like a balanced article to use in attempting to learn how to evaluate a Wikipedia article.

• Does the Lead include an introductory sentence that concisely and clearly describes the article's topic?
• Does the Lead include a brief description of the article's major sections?
• Does the Lead include information that is not present in the article?
• Is the Lead concise or is it overly detailed?

Lead evaluation

• Yes a lead is included in a introductory sentence and dose clearly describe the article topic.
• The lead dose manage to include a short description of sections with Lincolns article major section.
• The Article includes several hyperlinks to other articles that are related to Lincoln.
• I feel the lead is perhaps a little overly detailed, but otherwise I think it managed to be still very compact.

• Is the article's content relevant to the topic?
• Is the content up-to-date?
• Is there content that is missing or content that does not belong?

Content evaluation

• All the content show relates to the topic of Lincoln with no real deviation from it.
• All sources listed are up to date and the include recent sources from five past years.
• All content is accounted for, and nothing seems as if it missing.

• Is the article neutral?
• Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?
• Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
• Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another?

Tone and balance evaluation

• Article remains factual and neutral through, listing only things by fact rather than opinion.
• No part seem to indicate any kind of bias.
• All parts of Lincolns life are seemingly presented equally within the article, with no part getting more or less exposure..
• Outside of simply addressing his legacy and perception, the artificial itself dose not try to persuade any kind of persuasion.

• Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic?

• Every fact listed is linked to a source of information that can be seen, accessed or at least viewed.
• the sources all seem to relate to Lincoln in some way, and do seem to extensive.
• All the sources vary in years but remain relevant and somewhat contemporary.
• The links clicked all seem to work.

• Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read?
• Does the article have any grammatical or spelling errors?
• Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic?

Organization evaluation

• Yes the article is very concise and easy to read, their were no issues in going through
• I was not able to see any errors in grammar or spelling mistakes.
• I found it organized very well, with notable topics broken up well to help separate key points.

• Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic?
• Are images well-captioned?
• Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations?
• Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?

• What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic?
• How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects?
• How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?

Talk page evaluation

• Their were regarding Robert Smith Todd's as a slave owner first rather that as a complete person.
• It was rated as good, but I was not able to see if it was part of any WikiProjects.
• For the most part it would seem to discuss the topic as listed with it bringing up any change to be discus, with everything be presented as facts and neutral as possible.

• What are the article's strengths?
• How can the article be improved?
• How would you assess the article's completeness - i.e. Is the article well-developed? Is it underdeveloped or poorly developed?

Overall evaluation

• It is listed as a good article by the standards of Wikipedia.
• It is very well organized and provides a great amount of deal on Lincoln while rremaining factual.
• I think the article is good as it possibly can be.
• This articular is very well developed with tons of information to be gathered.
