Update
I updated the infobox with recent meetings and upcoming meetings. I guess that is the basic info in every rivalry page on Wikipedia. Just wanna know why is was reverted? TylerBlack97 (talk) 16:30, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
I guess its because you spelt Wiener as Weiner? Xenomorph1984 (talk) 20:39, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Wiener Derby → Vienna derby – per MOS:AT, WP:TRANSLITERATE, and WP:COMMONNAME. Vienna is the most commonly-used name for the city and the word "derby" is a common noun. The vast majority of articles about football rivalries (from outside English-speaking countries) also use English titles. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 21:50, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Do English-language sources generally use the English or German name for the city when discussing the derby? For the city itself Vienna is of course more common in sourcing, but that needs to be the case with the subject of the article as well (it very well may be). Otherwise, we'd by default have an article at Viennese schnitzel :).--Yaksar (let's chat) 15:50, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- The only English-language source in the article,[1] FIFA, calls it Viennese Derby, which is the correct translation of Wiener Derby. The only other reliable sources I found easily call it Viennese derby[2] or the Wiener Derby.[3] I haven't seen any that call it Vienna derby. Station1 (talk) 18:29, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Station1, Yaksar, and GiantSnowman: I have found 4 sources which refer to the rivalry as the Vienna derby: SK Rapid, NY Times, ESPN, Fox Sports, and added the last one to the article. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 13:27, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- The first capitalizes Derby, but all good sources, so no objection to any of the titles mentioned. Station1 (talk) 17:59, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
