Just redesigned this page and now looks better --- amit_jain_online (t a l k) 20:34, April 15, 2006 (UTC)

Is the devanagri spelling of Ajit correct? I thought it would require the 'ee' sound, not the 'i' sound.

Ajit

His screen name was Ajit and not Ajit Khan

Interwiki link fix to article Razia Sultan (film) is requested. Section is too long for my browser. Thanks! Rāmā (talk) 15:29, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Ajit" or "Ajit Khan"?

The screen name of actor Hamid Ali Khan has always been "Ajit" rather than "Ajit Khan". Most sources identify him as Ajit only. Originally this article was titled "Ajit" but it was moved in 2006 without any explanation. The only two sources in the article which calls him Ajit Khan are this book by Iqbal Rizvi and imdb. The Iqbal Rizvi's book (2022) is a very recent one and imbd isn't a very reliable source. There is a high possibility that writers of these two sources rely too much on Wikipedia.

Fylindfotberserk‬, this seems to be another case like Dharam Singh Deol. Whats your take on this? Dympies (talk) 11:55, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Dympies: I don't remember him being credited as "Ajit Khan" in any of the films, and I've watched many. This article should be moved to "Ajit (Hindi actor)" or something similar, per WP:COMMONNAME. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:02, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
