This page is for requesting access to the redirect autopatrol pseudoright. If you wish to discuss this list, its requirements, or NPP in general, please do so at the NPP discussion page.

Guidelines

The criteria for this pseudoright is an established track record creating uncontroversial redirects.

For a request to be considered successful it must have been open for at least 24 hours with the consensus of at least 3 editors who possess the new page reviewer permission (which includes all administrators). After two weeks, if a request does not have the individual consensus of 3 reviewers the request will be automatically closed. Alternatively an administrator may close a request as successful or unsuccessful at any time as part of standard individual administrative discretion for the granting of user rights.

Closed requests will be archived to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Redirect whitelist/Old requests after a minimum of three calendar days[a] following the close of the discussion.

LaundryPizza03 (t · c · del · cross-wiki · SUL · edit counter · redirects created · logs (block • rights • moves) · rfar · spi)

237 redirects with no problems. Helps out with AFC/R and RfD, and is both knowledgeable and trustworthy with redirects. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:47, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 March 31#Africa is not a country was closed as delete earlier today, and was created by LaundryPizza03 (see Special:Redirect/logid/106865637) --DannyS712 (talk) 22:15, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I figured I'd mention that I both nominated LaundryPizza03 for the redirect whitelist as well as create the RfD for Africa is not a country. I would have withdrawn this nomination if I didn't have trust in the user to create quality redirects. That was their only deleted redirect out of their 248 via an RfD. Still, if you would rather not add them, I do understand that it is your prerogative and not mine. I figured I would clear the air regarding my take on the RfD, as the redirect was created AGF. Utopes (talk / cont) 23:10, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DannyS712, I'm inclined to agree with Utopes here: while Africa is not a country was ultimately deleted, I don't think that its creation is indicative of a lack of clue when it comes to creating redirects and I would be willing to add them to the whitelist. I'm not going to overrule you if you still disagree, but I am wondering if you would be willing to reconsider your opposition. signed, Rosguill talk 21:46, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill: Sorry, but I am not comfortable automatically patrolling the redirects that this user created; having a clue isn't enough DannyS712 (talk) 21:47, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Path slopu

Requesting for adding me in redirect whitelist. I have created 253 redirects (five among them got deleted because of the deletion of their target). I am also participating in WP:AFC/R. Thank you. PATH SLOPU 16:45, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Rosguill: Can you please try to give others a chance to look at these before adding them? I planned for the 24 hours to allow for multiple views - I have requested removal of this user below (now CU blocked) --DannyS712 (talk) 11:31, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Glades12

I believe I have created more than 1800 redirects, though I haven't counted them precisely (and don't know if they have a dedicated counter). No issues I can remember besides Template:Db-cnr. Glades12 (talk) 09:06, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removals

Dmehus

Please remove Dmehus from the whitelist per Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Reviewers/Redirect autopatrol - "Administrators may "remove" users from the "group": ...at the request of the bot operator, who would be responsible for the patrols" Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 16:10, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DannyS712

Please remove me from the whitelist. As a global rollbacker, my creations are already autopatrolled, and so its just more processing work for the bot if I am listed here. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 21:07, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DannyS712, what's the reason behind this request? signed, Rosguill talk 22:16, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill: I'd prefer not to automatically patrol the redirects they create. I can provide further explanation privately if you would prefer, but this should not be construed as DilletantiAnonymous having done anything wrong DannyS712 (talk) 22:22, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user created lots of redirects. I went through and unpatrolled a number of them, but realized that the bot would just patrol them again in a few minutes; I have disabled the bot. Please ping me once the user is removed and I will reenable --DannyS712 (talk) 11:22, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DannyS712, any particular reason why? I do see a fair amount of deleted pages when looking up their redirect history, but on further inspection they appear to all be G8s following AfD closures on their targets, and with the exception of one or two R3s I didn't see any redirects which were inappropriate as redirects while their target still existed. signed, Rosguill talk 17:03, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill: Because they were check user blocked DannyS712 (talk) 17:12, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DannyS712, weird, I thought I had looked for that. I do see that now, consider it  Done signed, Rosguill talk 17:14, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
