Kim Schrier is an American pediatrician and politician from the state of Washington.
Schrier was raised in Los Angeles. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in astrophysics. She attended the University of California Davis School of Medicine, and earned her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Stanford University Medical Center, and worked as a pediatrician in Ashland, Oregon, for one year before joining Virginia Mason Medical Center in Issaquah, Washington.[1]
In the 2018 elections, Schrier is running for the United States House of Representatives in Washington's 8th congressional district. She advanced from the top-two primary to face Dino Rossi in the November 6 general election.[2]
Schrier and her husband have a son and live in Sammamish, Washington.[3] She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.[1]
