I have written more than 150 articles in enwiki and I need to have "New Page reviewer access" for having more contributions on other articles and make wikipedia a better and safer place for getting information and for fighting against vandalism. Diako «  Talk » 14:36, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As an experienced content creator and recent new page patroller, I think I would benefit the encyclopedia by having the rights. I am well-acquainted with the criteria for speedy deletion and have made little mistakes when adding tags to new articles. I just see this as another opportunity to control vandalism. I am already familiar with most of the policies. I have been lurking in AfD since almost two months now. It polished my knowledge further more. I can easily, and proficiently review/patrol new pages (not stupidly accepting unecncyclopaedic articles, or drive by tagging). I have also been doing some contribution through Special:NewPagesFeed. Even though not much active, I am always updated with Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and few related talkpages.
Currently, there is a backlog about 23-24k pages. If granted the right, I can easily work on 5 pages per day. That is ~150 pages per month. —usernamekiran(talk) 00:01, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Usernamekiran:  Done. A few minor bits of feedback. At Baseball WA and Baseball SA, you added a PROD tag to the articles for "notability issues" and also that "Wikipedia isn't a list". However, Wikipedia does have many list articles, so perhaps your rationale may need clarifying. Additionally, I would try to provide links to relevant policies/guidelines in your rationales; for example, if you are claiming a subject is non-notable, provide a link to the relevant notability guideline (e.g. WP:GNG). Oftentimes on new page patrol, the editors who create the articles you PROD will be new to Wikipedia, so they won't necessarily understand what it means for a Wikipedia article to be "non-notable", so it helps to be as descriptive as possible by providing a link. Been somewhat active in CSD, AFC, and AFD. I would like the page curation tool script to help chip away at the backlog. Stikkyy (talk) (contributions) 04:36, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I used to have the previous New Page Patroller and likely qualify grandfathered for this ability. I spend much of my time sifting out spam, hoaxes, and other unsuitable material, and occasionally do that in the New Pages queue. I was invited to apply via my talk page.
