Page mover

User:Andy M. Wang

Requesting this specific right be restored. When I was granted this in June last year, I wrote a script to help swap pages, which page movers have been using and recommending to others. I requested and was granted rights removal in good standing back in November anticipating a lengthy absence. Seems that I should request this back to help others, to be responsible for my code, and use my own script in full capacity.
Requesting only this right to be restored, not TE, AP, NPR, etc.Clarifying: I currently don't have an immediate need for the other permissions I've had. Thanks, let me know if I should clarify anything! — Andy W. (talk) 00:21, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm requesting pagemover status in order to be able to fix improper redirects which may require undoing a move via a swap, which I cannot presently do due to redirects blocking the way.
I know how to request a delete to make way for the move, but it's often too much of a bother as it takes time away from me and other editors for something that should only take a moment to check a box. So I usually either just leave a message on the talk page, or move on to something else. Seems like this has happened enough times now, that it's a shame to just leave them like that, and it would be better to strike while the iron is hot and just fix them, but I need pagemover to do that. For an example of one case where it was needed, see my Talk page, which took time from two admins to complete. Regarding point #3 at Guidelines, as I've been active at Translation-related activities such as the time-limited WP:AN/CXT/PTR project, I have had occasion to perform or update redirects lately at a higher rate than is usual for me, and thus my recent article history shows a fair number of them recently.
