Applicants are unlikely to be granted this right if they have created fewer than 25 new articles, excluding redirects and disambiguation pages. Note that this right will not help you create or patrol articles.
I have started creating more articles recently, and have noticed that there is often quite a delay, sometimes of several weeks, before the articles get patrolled. I expect to be creating more in the future and the autopatrolled right would save time both for me and for new page patrollers.
