Donald J. Bacon is a retired United States Air Force Brigadier General and a member of the Republican Party.

Bacon is a native of Illinois.[2] He attended Northern Illinois University, where he was a member of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. At the age of 50, Bacon retired from the Air Force.[1] He served as an aide to U.S. Representative Jeff Fortenberry and as an assistant professor at Bellevue University. He will run in the Republican Party primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives in Nebraska's 2nd congressional district in the 2016 elections.[3]

Bacon and his wife, Angie, have four children and live in Papillion, Nebraska.[2]
