David Andrew Berg (born March 28, 1993) is an American college baseball pitcher. He attends the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he plays for the UCLA Bruins baseball team.

Career

Berg attended Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, California, where his coaches helped him learn to use the sidearm delivery. He led his school's baseball team to the sectional championship.[1]

Berg enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and walked on to the UCLA Bruins baseball team.[1] As a sophomore, Berg pitched to a 7-0 win-loss record and a 0.88 earned run average, the lowest in college baseball. He was named the Pac 12 Pitcher of the Year and a finalist for the Pitcher of the Year Award in 2013.[2][3] He was named to the United States national collegiate baseball team in 2012 and 2013.[4]
